Pre-School through Grade 4 Bus Stop Procedure

Dear Balmer and NES Families,

This letter is to remind all parents/guardians at Balmer and NES of the bus stop procedure that became effective on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. This is not a new procedure, it is one that has been in place and will now be strictly enforced to ensure the safety of our young bus riders. All students in grades pre-school through fourth grade should be greeted at their bus stop by a responsible person. If a responsible person does not greet your child at the bus stop, your child will not be dropped off at the bus stop and will be brought back to the school to await pickup.

If you have a hardship, please contact the school principal, you may send an email, fax, or letter giving the bus driver permission to drop your child at the bus stop without a responsible person present.

Students are not permitted to change buses for any reason, please make alternate arrangements. A friendly reminder, students can not switch stops. They must be picked up and dropped off at the same location.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school principal.

Thank you for your cooperation, your child’s safety is our first priority.

Sincerely,

Sue Gorky
