The seventh grade began this year with a fun abstract art lesson that went further into concepts and ideas they learned the previous year. In the sixth grade students began to learn and utilize ideas on color theory. We started last year with simple ideas dealing with primary and secondary colors. This year we expanded outward with color theory ideas. Students investigated ideas of tint's, shades, hues and the warm and cool colors. Each rectangle in the abstract design has it's own color theory objective. Students could choose the material they wanted to work with. Hope you enjoy their efforts!
